About Me
I’m Mandy Boylett, living in Yarm, a proud Teesside mum, and – most importantly – Tomson’s mum. He was 24 when cancer took him.
The kind of pain that knocks the air out of you and makes you wonder how your heart keeps beating.
I thought it had stopped properly.
I was wrong.
Tomson didn’t vanish.
He just changed address.
And he’s been making sure I (and a fair few other people) know it ever since:
road signs rearranged to spell “LA BOO HERE”, 3 a.m. hair tugs, levitating salt funnels, spirit selfies, heart-shaped bruises on strangers’ tummies, sending his mum tulips…
There's photo, video and audio evidence, some of it witnessed by people who had no idea who he was. This little website is the extra room next to the book.
The book tells the main story – raw, Northern, full of love and a fair bit of swearing and laughter.
Here I can keep adding new signs as they arrive, share bits of video or photos that didn’t quite fit on the page, and maybe talk to other people who’ve been through the same thing.
If you’re here because you’ve lost someone and you’re desperate for a sign, or you’re just open to the idea that love doesn’t switch off when someone dies, then hello.
You’re in the right place. No pressure to believe anything.
Just come in, have a look, and if anything resonates, you know where I am.
Tomson’s still busy.
I’ll keep you posted.
